COVIDWISE is a COVID-19 exposure notification app for the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Department of Health. It is a simple and effective way to notify individuals that were within close proximity of a person that has a confirmed case of COVID-19. If you are close enough to another app user, then the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) API will exchange signals with that user. This is how the app works.
This app is a tool that helps notify individuals that may have been in contact with someone that has a confirmed case of COVID-19. It does this by using the BLE API on your device.
How this app works:
If you have the current Apple or Google operating system installed on your device, you may have noticed that Exposure Notifications are now included. Apple and Google will delete the exposure notification service tools from their respective operating systems once the pandemic reaches a point that public health no longer requires the use of this technology.
